AntWorks is based on a 2003 NASA Space Shuttle experiment to study animal life in space and test how ants successfully tunnel in microgravity.
Ant farm was designed by NASa scientists when they wanted to understand how ants responded to wieghtlessness in space.
Gel is used instead of soil, and cintains all the nutrition that is needed by the ants
